Ever wanted to test your trail fitness and compete against the crowd yet still be home for a late breakfast? Then this is for you!

We are pleased to announce a new series of 10 'local' trail runs spread across the UK yet within close proximity to urban areas making them easily accessible. Plymouth is the first of these new challenges. Consider this an upgrade from a Parkrun and a downgrade from a fully-fledged trail event with all the trimmings. A big part of this first trial in Plymouth is to gather valuable feedback from you, the trail runner.

What to expect

>> Fully marked route.

>> Time-trialled : get your individual start time (from 7 till 830 am) and compete against the online leaderboard throughout the morning.

>> One water station : water and GU energy gels provided.

What NOT to expect

>> Medal and tshirts : there will be an opportunity to purchase a tshirt ahead of time for those who would like one.

>> RFID timing : timing will be done by barcode scanning. To take part we will provide you with a pdf (digital) 'number' and you will need a smartphone. This will be scanned at the start, at the mid-way point and then at the finish. There will be no printed numbers.

>> Marquees : the entry fee is kept low by removing expensive items such as marquees. There will of course be toilets available!

2. We will send you a personalised email five days away from the date. This will include your start time and your digital participant 'number'.

3. Turn up and start! No lengthy briefings, forms to fill out or queues.
