The Jurassic Quarter is an undulating 46 mile Ultra Marathon along the South West Coast Path in the UK. The course covers almost half of England's only natural World Heritage Site, The Jurassic Coast.

The task is brutally simple: to run non-stop from Portland Bill Lighthouse to the eastern end of the Jurassic Coast at Old Harry Rocks.

This challenge can be undertaken as a solo, relay team of two or relay of four. The atmosphere is of keen and friendly rivalry.

Following 46 miles of mesmerising coastline there are innumerable steep climbs and descents. This is the ultimate trail runner's rush. Be under no mistake, every runner must be well prepared both mentally and physically.

An optional bus service is available to transport solo participants from near to the finish location to the start location early on the event morning. This enables solo participants to take part without having to bring a driver or support person. When you get to the finish we will shuttle you the short distance back to your car - a big bonus after a tough day.

If you are using the pre-event transport please follow postcode BH19 3BA and follow the marshals instructions upon arrival.

Booking for the bus will close at midday on the 1st May, or sooner if capacity is reached. Please do not delay in making your plans.

This service is an optional extra and costs £19. It is highly recommended and will improve your event experience.

Charity Entries

This recent addition to the Endurancelife events can be entered as a subsidised charity place. The aim is simple, to raise a minimum of £300 for your chosen charity (must be a registered charity). A 50% concessionary rate is available for those who chose this option.

For those who would like guidance for a charity, we recommend The Jurassic Coast Trust.

By opting for the fundraising route we will be in touch with you before and after the event to keep track of your progress. Fundraising must be online using either 'Just Giving' or 'Virgin Money Giving.' Those who have not raised the required amount 2 weeks prior to the event must pay the full entrance fee.

Getting There

We recommend lift sharing and the Endurancelife FB page is a good medium for this.
