This is the true spirit of the Olympics

I too was sad to see the torch going by bus. I have followed since the start and been trying to get some support on twitter. Gutted to have missed my local leg in Epsom yesterday!

I'd love to be part of this historic event and at the same time help raise funds for a very worthwhile charity

I'd love to be part of this historic event and at the same time help raise funds for a very worthwhile charity

It's the Olympics and I do long distance running and it's raising money for charity

It's an incredible way to get involved in the Games and to spread the message of the Olympic values as well as meeting with fantastic like-minded runners.

to be part of something BIG

I've been following the progress and this really is the Real Relay. A fantastic event.

To show them how it should be done. No security, no big hype sponsors... real relay for the real olympics.

my aunt was one of the first stage runners in Cornwall so want to carry on the baton

couldn't get tickets to olympic park event.

It is such a momentous and magical time to have the olympics in London that I really want to be involved in it.

Wow! :-)

to see it through to the end

A good way to capture the olympic spirit

An amazing oppurtunity

This run would bring me endless joy; knowing I am a part of something much, much bigger than the sum of it's parts!

It'll be fun.

This is a fantastic challenge, in the spirit of true amateur athletics. I ran leg 64 , with Paul as my outrider, in the middle of the night, in driving rain. It was surreal!

want to feel part of the olympic celebrations-once ina lifetime opportunity.

I took part in a previous stage and am looking forward to taking part in the final stage in London

Having already run one stage and met 2 people running for the same cause I feel I want to be part of it again, all together for the finale.

I believe this is the way the olympic torch should be have been carried around the UK, no jumping in the bus for us!!

It looks fun and I couldnt sign up quick enough for a local leg :-(

To be in at the finish of this brilliant achievement will be amazing.

The Olympics coming to London is such a unique event and I want to be involved in it.

After not getting any tickets its the only way to be part of the Olympics

I am an Endurance Life runner so huge supporter anyway plus my way of getting into the spirit of the Olympics!

To see the end!

To see it through to the end :)

To be a small part of an epic challenge

I did an individual stage; it will be great to now share in the concluding stage of this historic event.

To be part of the conclusion of this fantastic achievement.

This is what the Olympics should be about - mass participation, everyone doing their bit, a new tradition. Fun fun fun.

Depsite the commercialism, the Olympics has inspired things like this, which is a massive achievement --- Lord Coe will be proud.

To see the final steps of an amazing achievement which truly captures the spirit of our Nation's running community

To be part of something that is unique and to show what can be achieved be the power of the human spirit

I am a runner and have been unable to get tickets for olympic events, I've watched the very disappointing official torch relay and want to be part of this amazing real relay

I want to be part of something amazing!

I want to be part of something unique

It's a fantastic undertaking, can't wait to be part of the torch''s final leg of its' journey...

What could be better than running 5 miles of history with likeminded people. Not chosen, not balloted, not special... just doing it for the sake of taking part in something extraordinary!

To see the final stage through with fellow runners from The Real Relay !

Great opportunity to run off the booze from Jayco's leaving do the night before.

I'll be running on the Friday leg between Woolwich and Mile End and would be honoured to participate in the final leg.

Good to be part of the last stage and raise money for CHICKS

To be part of this great concept.

Seems a good chance to get involved with the Olympics but without all the marketing and corporate interests that seem to b dominating the main event.

The Olympics in London are a one off event in my lifetime and the Real Relay is a one off event inspired by it which I can physically take part in. Its simply awesome.

Because it's an awesome project that I'd be proud to be part of. If I'd know the rumours were true, I'd have signed up weeks ago! Thank you for organising this, a proper relay that puts the official one to shame. :)

Having run leg 27 I would love to be there at the finish

Having been involved as backup for the girls on leg 27 I would love to be there at the finish of this iconic event

Having been involved as backup for the girls on leg 27 I would love to be there at the finish of this iconic event

Great concept, this is how the Olympic Torch should have travelled round the UK.

To support London at this great time and to support CHICKS.

My friends are doing it

To support this epic effort!!!

Doing an early stage - Newham 20th July - some members cant make that day/time so would like to do the final stage.

The Olympics is the biggest even for london this decade and being part of it would be a once in a lifetime chance. I enjoy running in marathons and have taken part in a number of 10k runs and would be proud to take part in the Endurance life run.

This is a once in a life time chance for me- I really would like to take this challange

Need to be there at the end

I hate running, but what a brilliant way to connect the country, minus the branded BMW and henchmen.

I hate running, but what a brilliant way to connect the country, minus the branded BMW and henchmen.

Once in a lifetime moment

I would like to take part in this once in a life time opportunity to challenge myself

To take part and support all the runners who have made it happen!

I did an earlier leg on the relay and want to be in at the finish!

From start to finish it's been an Epic adventure whilst raising loads of cash for a worthy charity.

So good to have the opportunity to take part in the final leg of this epic venture

Because this is an awesome final stage to an amazing journey and I want to be part of it.

I work for CHICKS and what to be at the end of this fantastic event that will help so many children have some fab memories.

I love running and am excited to join this relay for the final stages after it has followed the route of the Olympic Tourch and raised money for a good cause along the way.

Why not?

I was told to

Because it will make my life complete

An experience to add to the bank of life.....

Why Not! And i'll be coming from running Dartford Half!!!

fun

I am an enthusiastic sportsperson who would love to be part of such a fantastic event, running through our historical streets with a big group of lycra-clad cool dudes... This'll be something to tell my Grannie about, and my kids (when I have them)!

Run fun!

ordinary people, together doing something extraordinary - I want to be part of it!

Its great to be part of somthing BIG and raise money for charity. Done 2 legs @ 3.30am & 0.30pm!!

I took part in the Scarborough to Filey leg and what to see the baton handed over at the Olympic Park. I think it will be an experience to remember.

To be part of a historic moment in a historic event.

Because it's a historic moment, I'm a passionate runner, and the olympics is taking place right next to where I live! It's a great idea and I'd love to take part.

Be part of the history Olympic 2012

Because this a fantastic event and a once in a life time experience.

Great people, great fun and extra-ordinary

It is a brilliant idea, giving us amateurs a chance to hook up and get into the olympic spirit in an authentic and memorable way. My friend Lynn, dog Rosie and I did the Scarborough to Filey leg.

Be part of historic event

Be part of historic event

A fantastic opportunity to do something involving running, the Olympics and Charity :-)

Got to see it through to the end!! Really enjoyed my stage on Friday evening fro Romford.

To be part of something amazing

Because Miller told me about it...and he's my hero

I think it is the most important community event going on before the olympics.

It i9s the most important community event before the olympics

It is the most important community event before the olympics

It has been a fantastic adventure and I want to join it across the finish line!

It has been a fantastic adventure and I want to join it across the finish line!

Because it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of something meaningful to do with the olympics

End of a long journey to say farewell to something special..

Because it's Real!!! Enough said

So proud to have taken part in this amazing Olympic event. It shows that there is still a prevailing community spirit which the prevailing corporate greed and selfishness will not destroy - up you McDonalds and Coca Cola etc.

To be a part of something exciting!

It's a nice day.

Support chicks
