Race across the county from one coast to another, taking in two spectacular National Parks and several Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A genuine linear journey through amazing landscapes incorporating a popular blend of multi-sport endurance and adventure racing disciplines. The event has become a ‘must do’ for many and has developed a well earned reputation as a tough adventure challenge with a relaxed vibe and friendly atmosphere.
"The whole event was 'spot on' in my books! I will definitely be encouraging others to have a go as it was such a great experience in a truly spectacular landscape. Not for the faint hearted
though as it was bloody tough!" Tom Hillier

The Location
The Devon Coast 2 Coast is a two day, multi-sport traverse of one of the largest and most beautiful counties in the UK. Teams of two or solo’s set off from the spectacular sea cliffs at Foreland Point in the north, bound for the jagged shoreline of Prawle Point on the south coast. The journey takes in the wild and open expanses of Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, and includes road and mountain bike sections, road and trail running legs and a kayak section on the incomparable Dart estuary, which scythes through a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, The South Hams.
No commentary on the Devon event would be complete with out reference to the infamous final trail run that takes you along 19 magical miles of the South West Coastal Path, considering that this path is world renowned for its beauty and the challenge it presents to hardy walkers and trail runners, it is entirely appropriate that this section is one of the most spectacular and demanding along it’s course.
The Devon Coast 2 Coast is a tough challenge, not just because of the 130 mile course, but also due to the nature of the terrain and notoriously changeable weather conditions common on the higher ground. This event presents a unique opportunity to propel your self across this famously beautiful part of Britain. Appropriately, the journey finishes outside the most southerly pub in Devon, the arguably even more infamous ‘Pigs Nose’

Parking
Parking will be available for the duration of the challenge at a location to be confirmed soon. We are working on a system that will make it as simple as possible for participants to leave their vehicles in a convenient place on the Friday evening and make use of the ‘special transport option’ to get to the start and subsequently back to their vehicle after the event.
For those individuals and teams who want to take care of their own travel arrangements, parking is also available at both the start (Brendon Village) and finish (East Prawle) for the duration of the challenge. Please note that vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk, and that you will be responsible for getting yourself to the start if you park at the finish, and visa versa if you park at the start.
Transport
The ‘special transport option’ is offered as an optional extra and is our recommended way of getting the most out of the Coast 2 Coast experience. Very simply you park at an accessible prearranged venue; we then take the strain from there by transporting you, your kit and bike to the start. After the event, we take you back to your vehicle, simple. This method lessens the impact we have on the environment and the quaint venues the event starts and finishes in, it also takes a lot of vehicles off the road and enables you to get into the spirit of the event all the sooner. Please note: the ‘special transport option’ is an additional £20 per person and may be selected as an option during the online booking process. Please also note: It does not include any associated parking charges.
Safety
The Devon Coast 2 Coast is a physically and mentally challenging event that takes place what ever the weather. You must be capable of maintaining a concerted physical effort for up to 10 hours a day, for two days. The event includes remote sections of moor land, cliff top paths, exposed coastal trails and muddy bridal ways.
Please note: The Devon C2C AR event is not suitable for walkers.

Post Event
The Devon Coast 2 Coast finishes in one of the coolest villages in Britain, East Prawle. It is slightly strange, very eccentric and a Mecca for visitors to the South Hams and in particular the South West Coastal Path. The village has a gem of a pub, The Pigs Nose, which is named after a unique rock formation on the coast close by. This legendary watering hole also happens to be the southern most ale house in England, and as such makes it the perfect venue for the post Coast 2 Coast festivities.
It has become somewhat of a tradition to celebrate finishing the event by kicking back in the pub, with a pint or two of local ale, whilst enjoying the entertainment and swapping tales of adventure with your fellow Coast 2 Coasters. Tomorrows another day, so stay over, revel in the moment and ease back into reality in the morning.
